How Painting Became a Clearer Process

I did not begin with a perfect plan. I learned by making painting after painting, testing color, composition, movement, texture, and contrast, and paying attention to why some pieces felt complete while others did not.

As I began sharing my work online, people from around the world started watching, asking questions, and trying the techniques for themselves. I kept seeing the same struggles: not knowing where to start, muddying color, overworking the canvas, and following tutorials without understanding why the painting worked.

There were also seasons when life pulled my attention away from the work. Returning to painting and teaching gave me a clearer sense of what I wanted to build: a practical path that helps people keep moving forward without needing perfect conditions or endless free time.

That experience shaped the way I teach today. I break abstract painting into clear choices while leaving room for intuition, personality, and experimentation. The goal is not simply to copy one of my paintings. It is to help you understand the process well enough to make confident choices, paint more freely, and create work that feels like your own.
